The Beginning of Something Else

On June 1, 2007 I found out my husband and partner of almost two decades had been unfaithful to me since before our marriage, and had been having intercourse with prostitutes for 3 1/2 years. This is what happened next.

The healing power of good art

I haven't seen Benjamin Button yet, but a friend sent me this quote which resonated so strongly with me. It's like a prayer I can say to myself.

“It’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be.
There’s no limit.
Start whenever you want.
You can change or stay the same.
There are no rules to this thing.
We can make the best or the worst of it.
I hope you make the best of it.
I hope you see things that startle you.
I hope you feel things you never felt before.
I hope you meet people who have a different point of view.
I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again”

- Eric Roth, from the screenplay “THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON”

"Start where you want" ...

Sometimes I wish it were JUST that easy. Somehow it doesn't feel that easy.

I liked your post about remembered hurts. They are life changing ... it's hard not to hold on to them. But with work they can become something other than resentments. I think. :)
